ABOUT THOMAS L. JOHNSON LODGE NO. 28
On January 11, 1982 Brother Carnell Grandy and fifteen others petitioned the Most Worshipful Prince H,all Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia to form a lodge within the jurisdiction. At the time the sitting Most Worshipful Grand Master was Thomas L. Johnson. After proper investigation, Thomas L. Johnson Lodge #28 was chartered on March 12, 1983 with Past Master Carnell Grandy serving as the 1st Worshipful Master of the lodge. Thomas L. Johnson Lodge No. 28 is celebrating it’s 33rd year and has raised over 150 plus brothers throughout the years. Thomas L. Johnson Lodge No. 28 is unique because it is the only Warranted Lodge within the jurisdiction to be named after a sitting Most Worshipful Grand Master at the time in which the lodge was chartered.
